  Huntington University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in organic chemistry. The successful candidate will teach a two-semester sequence of organic chemistry; either general chemistry or liberal arts chemistry; one chemistry support course for nursing majors yearly; biochemistry once every two years; and possibly other electives depending on expertise and interest. A typical teaching load is 12 hours per semester.  
  The chemistry department at Huntington offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in chemistry and a B.S. degree in chemistry education, with a solid record of pre-medical and graduate school preparation as well as support of majors in biology, exercise science, and nursing. The department has two full-time faculty members and adjunct assistance.
  Participation in Division activities and University governance is expected, and professional and research activities are encouraged. The department is housed in a recently-constructed, well-equipped Science Hall, and modest funds and student laboratory space are available for research. Submission of an undergraduate research proposal is a plus.
