Huntington University seeks to fill a tenure-track
faculty position in organic chemistry. The successful candidate will teach a
two-semester sequence of organic chemistry; either general chemistry or liberal
arts chemistry; one chemistry support course for nursing majors yearly;
biochemistry once every two years; and possibly other electives depending on
expertise and interest. A typical teaching load is 12 hours per semester.
The chemistry department at Huntington offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in
chemistry and a B.S. degree in chemistry education, with a solid record of
pre-medical and graduate school preparation as well as support of majors in
biology, exercise science, and nursing. The department has two full-time faculty
members and adjunct assistance.
Participation in Division activities and University governance is
expected, and professional and research activities are encouraged. The
