St. Mary's College
The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Saint Mary's College, Notre
Dame, IN, seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track position at the
assistant professor level in inorganic chemistry. The successful candidate will
teach upper-level undergraduate inorganic chemistry and participate in
lower-division chemistry courses and in our senior comprehensive program.
Research appropriate to an undergraduate institution is expected. The department
is also interested in expanding interdisciplinary teaching and research
activities and welcomes candidates to address their experience in
interdisciplinary approaches in their application materials. The appointee will
be a Lilly New Faculty Scholar, a position that includes course load reductions
during the first two years of the appointment and some financial support for
research. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry or related field
and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
